Frequently Asked Questions
- What is Slashzilla?
Slashzilla is a Mozilla sidebar that provides enhancements designed to make a user's experience at Slashdot more enjoyable (if that's possible).
- How the hell is this actually useful?
At the moment, it isn't terribly useful. I find myself using it mostly to quickly jump between articles. However, future enhancements will include a robust comment browser that will allow you to quickly browse through comments and perform actions that Slashdot does not normally provide. I think the real appeal in Slashzilla will come once that's ready.
- What technology does Slashzilla use?
Slashzilla uses XUL, XPConnect, and JavaScript.
- Why doesn't Slashzilla do X?
Just because it doesn't do X now, doesn't mean it won't in the future. If you want something, feel free to e-mail me.
